Keith Ablow Attacks Sofia Vergara: Fox News Doctor Ablow Demands Abortion ‘Veto’ For Men [Watch Video]

Keith Ablow, a commentator and doctor, has landed in hot water for making some surprising comments about a woman’s right to have an abortion. Ablow, who is part of Fox’s “Medical A-Team,” was discussing the current legal fight between Sofia Vergara and her ex-fiancé, Nick Loeb. The businessman is determined to bring the former couple’s embryos to term against her will. Keith Ablow, a psychiatrist, came up with the following theory, men should have the right to veto women’s abortions.

Keith Ablow and his abortion comments are angering liberals and pretty much all non-conservative women. This week, the author of “The 7: Seven Wonders That Will Change Your Life” Keith Ablow appeared on Fox New show Outnumbered with his fellow “Medical A-Team” members to talk about abortion.

Mr. Ablow was discussing the ongoing court/public battle between Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara and her ex-fiancé, Nick Loeb, who wants to bring the former couple’s embryos to term against her will.

Last week, in a lengthy op-ed in the New York Times, Nick Loeb stated that he has the right to use Vergara’s two female embryos. The man, who describes himself as a “Teddy Roosevelt Republican,” wants to bring them to term via surrogacy and raise the children alone. Loeb, who has filed a lawsuit against his former lover, shared:

“These are issues that, unlike abortion, have nothing to do with the rights over one’s own body, and everything to do with a parent’s right to protect the life of his or her unborn child.”

Vergara and her new fiancé, Joe Manganiello, are against the idea. The star explained that she had signed a contract with her ex, and they had agreed that it would take the “consent” of both parties to have the children.

She also revealed that a child “needs a loving relationship of parents that get along, that don’t hate each other.” During a recent interview, she made it clear that she has moved on with Manganiello. She revealed:

“We’re moving to a new house, he’s promoting Magic Mike, I’m doing this new movie. We’re planning our wedding. We try not to think about this.”

Keith Ablow blasted the actress by saying that she is a hypocrite and has no credibility. Ablow claimed that Sofia Vergara is a liberal who appears on a TV show where everything goes. The author and television personality went on to ask why does Vergara get to choose what happens to her frozen embryos. He shared:

“The bottom line is, why would a woman’s right to decide what to do with a frozen embryo trump a man’s right every time?.If he wants to bring these embryos to term, good for him. He wants to parent. If he wants to have them adopted, good for him. It’s not a coin toss. It’s whoever wants that potential being to survive. That’s who wins.”

Ablow, who received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Johns Hopkins Medical School in 1987, sounded a bit outdated when he added:

“When it comes to her choices in life, she wants all the control. Not very modern, Sofia. You know, what their agreement is on paper should not determine the fate of a child in the world.”

Keith Ablow went on to say that a man should be allowed to veto a woman’s abortion. He said:

“You know, I’ve been outspoken on this.I think men should be able to veto women’s abortions if they’re willing to care for the child after it’s born.”

Keith Ablow is being eaten alive by liberals who believe that a woman should (always) have the right to do whatever she wants with her body.

What are your thoughts on Keith Ablow’s comments? Is Sofia Vergara wrong for not wanting a child with her ex?

  1. I agree with the doctor. It takes two to create a child, why does it take only the vote of the woman to stop it (or to continue it). A man cannot force a woman to have an abortion and thus avoid fatherhood but a woman can chose to have an abortion and deny a man the “right” to be a father.
In this particular case the two eggs have already been fertilized. According to some people that makes them alive and people. Destroying them would be a form of murder. Loeb, a millionaire, has already said that Vergara will not be required to do anything when it comes to support or parenting. In other words, it costs her nothing to release the eggs to him. So what is HER problem then. Sounds like she is being pretty petty and spiteful. Assuming that she is a Catholic, she is also flouting the beliefs of her church.

  2. How surprising that the two here in the comment section that think this is OK are men. I live for the day they can plant an egg in a man, let him carry it for 9 months and then give birth from his behind. So you think you have a right to force a women to carry a child, take all the medical risks associated with pregnancy and child birth. Are you also on board with paying all the losses she may incur with her career, including but not limited to lost time for the birth, decrease in advancement opportunities and the mental and emotional as well as social judgment she would have to endure if she had a child and just walked away. Reality check guys. Your arrogance is appalling. And for the record I have spent a great deal of time working for men’s rights organizations, including fathers rights groups. I have 4 wonderful brothers, love men and I am not a woma-nazi. Actually as a general rule prefer men friends over women and have been married for 25 years. It is a personal rights issue not a male or female. Individual rights.

  3. What if the roles were reversed and SHE wanted the embryos but HE didn’t want his sperm used? What would this dip wad’s opinion be then???

  4. So there are never any controversial comments on CNN or MSNBC? Really?
