Katy Perry nose is center stage in her latest Instagram video. Perry got a nose piercing earlier this week, and decided to share a little clip with her fans to show how it was done.

Katy Perry nose piercing video is not the easiest thing to watch. Perry who likes to chronicle her fun adventures on social media; did just that when she uploaded a video on Instagram of herself getting her nose pierced.

The “Roar” singer posted the short clip on Friday; it has received over 279K likes so far on the photo-sharing website. This is not the first time the “Dark Horse” artist got her nose pierced.

She tried to pierce her nose on her own when she was 13, after her mother Mary Christine Perry refused to give her the permission needed for the procedure. For years, she had a little scar on her nose that people would notice when they get close to her.

During an appearance on NBC’s “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” in 2012, the music superstar shared the story. You can watch the interview below, the part about the nose piercing starts at around 3:22.

“Last time I did this I was on my own with a safety pin & cube of ice @ 13. This time I thought it was best I left it to the pro’s. Sorry mom (again).”

Perry’s nose piercing was not a big hit with everyone, some people say that the so-called scar was not even visible, and she just needed an excuse to do it. They are nonetheless looking forward to pictures of Katy with a nose ring.

The ex-wife of English comedian Russell Brand also has 6 tattoos. Perry is currently in the middle of “The Prismatic World Tour;” it started in Belfast, Northern Ireland in May and will end in March 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden.

The California native who is a big fan of pop music legend Madonna took to Twitter on Saturday to wish her a happy birthday. The “Vogue” singer just turned 56. Katy wrote:

It will be interesting to see if those two divas end up working together in the future.
