Jordan Clarkson and Chanel Iman are dating. After weeks of rumors, it is finally official. The Victoria’s Secret angel and the Los Angeles Lakers rising star are really a couple.
Chanel Iman‘s new man is a baller. The 24-year-old model, who is half Korean and African-American, was spotted on Saturday leaving DBA nightclub in Hollywood, and she was holding hands with Jordan Clarkson. Photographers for TMZ.com were able to catch hem together. The celebrity news website claims that they appeared to be having a great time and seemed very close.
Jordan Clarkson and Chanel Iman were also spotted at the Honda Center in Anaheim for the Powerhouse concert headlined by Kanye West. Hip Hollywood reports that the rumored lovers were also holding hands at the venue. Iman previously dated rapper A$AP Rocky for over one year. The model and her ex-boyfriend even got engaged before breaking up in October 2014.
Rocky also dated Iggy Azalea, who is now dating Los Angeles Lakers star, Nick Young. California is such a small place. Clarkson, who is half American and half Filipino, had an 11.9 Points Per Game average this season despite the fact that his team did not perform very well. He is only the fifth second-round pick player in the last 30 years to make it in the NBA All-Rookie First Team. As the L.A Lakers start preparing for life after Kobe Bryant, the face of the franchise for the past 15 years, who is considering retirement at the end of the next season, Clarkson could play a bigger role in the team.
As for Chanel Iman, she recently launched her movie career with Dope, a comedy-drama written and directed by Rick Famuyiwa. Produced by Forest Whitaker and executive-produced by Pharrell Williams and Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, the film debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in January, and critics loved it. The entire cast was even described as “revolutionary” by Brian Moylan of The Guardian. A$AP Rocky is said to be impressive in it; Dope comes out in the US on June 19, 2015. Iman recently shared why she got interested in the movie, she said:
“When I read the script, I just fell in love with it. Acting was something I had always wanted to do, but I knew this was the part for me.”
Here is what she had to say about her character, Lily:
“[Lily] has a lot of levels and a complexity to her. That really gave me a chance to step outside myself and get into acting.”
For the model, the cast is one of the biggest strengths of Dope, she shared:
“We all worked very hard and developed such a great bond on set. One of the best parts of Sundance was watching the completed film for the first time with the whole cast. The excitement and energy in the theater was great, and it was a very proud moment for all of us.”
