John Grisham’s child porn comments have set the internet on fire, and many of his former fans are demanding that the FBI take a look at his hard drive. While promoting his new book Gray Mountain, Grisham sat down with The Telegraph, where he lamented on the fact that the American justice system is too harsh on men caught watching child porn.

John Grisham is being slammed for some comments on child porn he made two day ago. The famous author who is currently on a promotional tour for his latest novel Gray Mountain was talking about judges locking up too many people, and decided to share the story of one his friends with The Telegraph.

Grisham said that the American justice system is too tough on people caught viewing indecent images of children. The writer explained that one his pals, was intoxicated one night and accidentally downloaded child porn.

The man who is also a lawyer, never touched a child, according to John Grisham. The following day, the FBI arrested Grisham’s friend, because the website he visited was in a reality a sting set up by the Canadian police.

Grisham went on to say that he believes real pedophiles should be in prison, but those who looked at images of 16-year-old girls should get a lesser sentence. He further explained that there is a difference between looking at a teen girl who is dressed like a 30-year-old woman and a 10-year-old boy.

John Grisham child porn comments have gone viral, and have set social media sites on fire. Many have taken to Twitter where “John Grisham” is trending and have asked that the FBI investigate the author, because he might be “one of the white guys who accidentally stumble on porn,” he was talking about.

Others said that John Grisham child porn comments were disgusting, sexist and even racist. Few ex-followers stated that they will never read his books again.

After learning that he may have just ended his career, Grisham has rapidly issued an apology for his controversial child porn comments:

“I regret having made these comments, and apologize to all.”
