Bruce Almighty actor Jim Carrey gave a waitress a tip that is now making headlines. This week, the A Christmas Carol star sat at the Chester, a fancy eatery located in the Meatpacking District in New York where he dined with a group of friends.
It is not known what the pals ordered, but it has been confirmed that Mr. Carrey ate quinoa and lemon chicken, and had pinot noir. The bill came up to $151, and the generous Canadian-American screenwriter decided to give the waitress, who served him a tip of $225.
A source stated that the group enjoyed the meal and added:
“Everyone seemed to be in a good mood.”
Carrey is currently working on an upcoming film called True Crimes, which is a Polish-American crime drama-thriller directed by Alexandros Avranas and written by Jeremy Brock. Based on an article published in The New Yorker written by David Grann, the movie also stars French actress Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kati Outinen, Zbigniew Zamachowski, and Marton Csokas.
