Jeffrey Dahmer’s Home For Rent: During RNC Convention Infamous Place Will Be Available

Jeffrey Dahmer’s home is for rent, and no, this is not an April Fools’ Day joke. The home where Dahmer first killed will be up for rent during the Republican Convention. He was also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, a nickname he earned for killing and raping 17 men.

Jeffrey Dahmer home is for rent

Jeffrey Dahmer‘s childhood home is for rent and anyone can spend a week in the house where the serial killer resided for the small amount of $8,000.

The home will be available during the Republican Convention. Before getting to a full description of the property, here is a brief bio of the serial killer.

Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer was born in 1960, and he died in 1994 while serving fifteen terms of life imprisonment in the Columbia Correctional Institution. He was beaten to death by Christopher Scarver, a fellow inmate. Dahmer, a cannibal, was given the nickname Milwaukee Cannibal, after it was confirmed that he raped, murdered, and dismembered seventeen men and boys between 1978 and 1991.

The former Bath Township home of Dahmer along with several other houses have been put for rental by real estate company Howard Hanna Real Estate Services during the July GOP convention – which might be a contested one or might have riots depending on which Republican candidate you speak to.

Howard Hanna claimed that it is a three-bedroom home about 25 miles south of Cleveland, and it costs $8,000 to rent for the week. The listing describes the 1952 home as having a mid-century modern style with “a true park-like setting” and easy access to Interstate 77.

Here is an extra reason to rush and reserve this creepy home if you are into that kind of stuff – it was the site of Dahmer’s first murder in 1978. An 18-year-old Dahmer killed hitchhiker Steven Hicks and disposed of his remains in the woods behind the property.

Chris Butler, the owner of the home and a founding member of the 1980s new wave band The Waitresses, said:

“If you get past that little problem, you’ll have a wonderful place to live, I put up the listing on a whim to suck some Republican gelt (money) from those people”

Butler went on to reveal that he has been working to restore the home to a more authentic representation of its modern style in an attempt to improve its public image and move past the fact that Dahmer once lived there.
