Identical Quadruplets Born in Germany – The 522,883 people residing in Leipzig, Germany are happy to add four new people to their city.
Earlier this week an unnamed woman gave birth prematurely to quadruplets baby girls according to several local papers.
What makes the story even more extraordinary is the fact that the mother did not use in vitro fertilization to have her girls named Laura, Sophie, Jasmin and Kim.
Laura, Sophie, Jasmin and Kim who were born 10 weeks early at the Leipzig Hospital are said to be healthy and are thriving since arriving to this world.
Leipzig Mayor Burkhard Jung has been named the godfather of the identical quadruplets who had the chance of one in 13 million of being born.
Laura, Sophie, Jasmin and Kim will be joining a long list of other famous quadruplets that include the Canadian Dionne sisters – who are the first known quadruplets or the Crouch quadruplets who made headlines when they were all accepted to Yale University in 2010.
