Hillary Clinton condemns anti-Trump violence and asks Donald Trump to do same and to change his tone. Clinton sat down for an interview on CNN where she advised Trump to take some responsibility for the violent acts taking place at his events.
Hillary Clinton condemned anti-Trump violence and went on to give the presumptive GOP nominee some wise piece of advice that many Republicans like Anna Navarro are hoping and wishing he will take.
Friday, the candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in the 2016 election sat down for an extensive interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper where the main topic was Donald Trump and the violence he incites in people, who are against and for him.
At a recent rally in California, many of Trump supporters and protesters fought, hurled insults at one another and took part in some egg-tossing.
There is a lot of finger pointing going on since the incident, some are blaming the police for not securing the area, Trump is accusing the Mexican flag-waving thugs for the drama while others say Trump and his people are the ones pitching Americans against each other.
Trump’s countless comments on illegal immigration, his controversial views on foreign policy, and his idea to temporarily ban most foreign Muslims have caused verbal and physical confrontations between Trump supporters and protesters at Trump’s campaign events in Iowa, Illinois, Nevada, and Alabama.
The 67th United States Secretary of State told Tapper:
“I condemn all violence in our political arena. I condemned it when Donald Trump was inciting it and congratulating people who were engaging in it.”
Indeed, there were few instances where the mogul invited his backers to get physical with protesters. While in Alabama, Trump said:
“Maybe he should have been roughed up, because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing.”
In Iowa, Trump told a crowd:
“So if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of ’em, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell — I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. I promise.”
While in Nevada, Trump stated:
“I love the old days — you know what they used to do to guys like that when they were in a place like this? They’d be carried out on a stretcher, folks.” He added “I’d like to punch him in the face.”
The former First Lady of the United States went on to add:
“He created an environment in which it seemed to be acceptable for someone running for president to be inciting violence, to be encouraging his supporters, now we’re seeing people who are against him responding in kind. It should all stop. It is not acceptable.”
In that same interview, Clinton rejected the idea that the violent anti-Trump demonstrators might actually help Trump in November. She explained:
“I don’t think any of this helps anybody.I want it to just end. I don’t want to parse it. I don’t want to talk about the political implications.”
Clinton concluded by:
“Trump has lowered the bar on civility and is it a surprise that people who don’t like him are stepping over that low bar?”
It is ironic that Hillary feels she can condemn anyone or anything. She is one of the most corrupt officials in the history of the United States; and every time she opens her mouth to accuse or disparage, her words only serve to remind the listener/reader of her own misfeasance. It is wildly beyond the imagination of any correct-thinking American that Ms. Clinton has the unmitigated gall to impose herself onto the public scene when she is guilty of such despicable actions that continue to this very day. Her lies to cover up her crimes are becoming laughable. Hopefully, her past will soon catch up with her and she will face justice and punishment commensurate with her offenses.
