A Michigan teen who went missing for over 17 hours, was found alive on Friday afternoon, some 40 miles away from her last known location. 18-year-old Hayley Turner found alive, is the big headline coming from Ecorse, MI tonight.

Hayley Turner who is from Bedford Township, went missing on Thursday night around 10:10 p.m. while she was out to rent few movies. Turner was on the phone with a female friend, when she told her that she had seen a man lying in a trench.

The young woman apparently approached the individual to offer help, that is when she told her friend that the man in question had a gun. The phone then got disconnected and Hayley was never heard from again, until today.

The girlfriend who Turner was speaking with, immediately called her father, who rushed to the Family Video store located on Lewis Avenue. Thomas Turner found his daughter’s car nearby, but did not find her.

Authorities were alerted, they searched the area with no real success. The Turner family feared the worse and believed Hayley had been abducted. A press conference was held on Friday morning, where her parents made an emotional plea according to News OXY, begging her to come home no questions asked.

This afternoon at around 2:30 p.m., Hayley Turner was found sitting outside of a home in Ecorse without her shirt.

The homeowner promptly called the police. The girl who is said to be not very talkative at the moment, told the homeowner that she jumped out of a moving car, before ending up on her front porch.

Although it was revealed that the young woman was dealing with emotional issues in the past year, police officers believe that her disappearance is not a mental health issue.

Law enforcement officers are not saying much on the case, the only official statement put out, is that Hayley Turner was found alive and she is safe. Investigators are now looking for answers about what happened to Hayley during the 17 hours she went missing.

Hayley who was brought to a hospital for evaluation has since reunited with her family.

  1. I feel sorry for her if she has mental issues, but her story is a little suspect to me. It just doesn’t add up. I don’t feel she was abducted. It sounds more for a cry for help.

    1. Good thing you are on the case, Ivstbrnrd. Usually people don’t think to be skeptical of these types of stories; especially law enforcement officers, since, you know, most of what they see and hear is legit.
