Maybe it is his age, maybe it is his very busy and tiresome schedule because a reason must be found as to why fame Caribbean/Calypso singer Harry Belafonte whose real name is Harold George “Harry” Belafonte, Jr fell asleep during a live interview with on Bakersfield, California’s morning news program on Tuesday.
Harry Belafonte who is 84 years old and is currently promoting his new book entitled “My Song” was scheduled to have a live conversation with news anchor Leyla Santiago, but when his feed was broadcast on the air, it showed the outspoken activist looking down, with his eyes closed, snoozing the early morning away.
Despite the video stating otherwise,”The Banana Boat Song,”/”Day-O” singer who recently made headlines for calling Republican candidate Herman Cain a false negro and a bad apple, has rapidly denied the claims that he had falling asleep on live television.
As to why his eyes were visibly closed as Santiago tried repeatedly to wake him up and question him about his book?
