Ex-Harlem Globetrotter Missing: Rico Omarr Harris Vanished During Road Trip

A former Harlem Globetrotter has been missing since October 10th. Rico Omarr Harris was driving from California to Washington to be with his girlfriend, Jennifer Song, when he vanished.

Rico Omarr Harris, who was a member of The Harlem Globetrotters has gone missing. According to police, the former Harlem Globetrotter was making a long trip from Alhambra, California to Seattle, Washington when he vanished.

On October 10th, at around 9 AM, Harris called his mother, Margaret Fernandez, and told her that he was driving through Sacramento. The 37-year-old man, who traveled all over America with the exhibition basketball team, informed his mom that he was well and was about to go get something to eat, and take a nap before taking the road again.

About an hour later, he called his girlfriend, Jennifer Song, and left her a voice mail. That is, the last time anyone has ever heard from Harris. Miss Song who is worried about Harris, shared:

“He’s a very loving, enduring, charismatic gentle giant — that’s what people called him.”

Song revealed that they are planning to get married and are eager to become parents. On October 13th, police found the missing man’s black Nissan in Yolo County Regional State Park on Route 16.

Few miles away, members of the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department, located a cellphone and a backpack with jumper cables that belong to Harris. The police have confirmed that Harris’ car battery had died.

Talking to KTLA, Fernandez said that her son was happy to move to Seattle with his longtime partner. She went on to explain that the 6-foot-9, 280-pound former Globetrotter had recently landed a job in sales and was excited to start the next chapter of his life with Song. Harris’ mother added:
