Hannity Rating Woes Give Hope To Rivals

Sean Hannity’s ratings have taken a serious hit after the 2012 presidential election.
According to a newly released report by Nielsen, Sean Hannity’s nightly television show Hannity, which airs on Fox News Channel has lost 50 per cent of its viewers since November 7th, 2012.
It is more than normal for political shows to see their viewership drop (for example his colleague Bill O’Reilly lost one third of his eyeballs ) – but the lost suffered by the author of “Conservative Victory: Defeating Obama’s Radical Agenda” is unprecedented.
It is speculated that Sean Hannity’s ratings plummeted mainly due to the fact that during the months and weeks leading to the election the television personality and several of his conservative commentators like Dick Morris, Ann Coulter, Peggy Noonan wrongly predicted that Mitt Romney would not only beat President Barack Obama but would take back the White House in a landslide victory a la Ronald Wilson Reagan.
What makes matters worse for the host of The Sean Hannity Show, is that the drastic dip in eyeballs is within the very lucrative 25-54 demographic also known as the “money demo”.
As FOX watch their ratings decline, political programs like Rachel Maddow’s The Rachel Maddow Show which is broadcast on MSNBC continue to grow and CNN’s Anderson Cooper has kept all of his pre-election audience.
