Gwen Stefani And Gavin Rossdale Finalize Divorce

Gwen Stefani can almost change her Facebook status to single because she is on the path of officializing her divorce from Gavin Rossdale. According to reports, the procedure is going as smooth as possible because Stefani and Rossdale are acting like adults – and have agreed to the custody of their three children and how to split their multi-million dollar fortune.

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale have taken a big step to getting divorced in a very civilized manner. After 13 years of marriage, three amazing children, Stefani and Rossdale have decided to skip the lengthy court battles, hurling insults at each other via the media, and embarrassing each other with leaked information and signed an agreement to split in an amicable way.

The Bush frontman and guitarist and the No Doubt lead singer have signed an agreement that states that they will have joint custody of Apollo Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, Bowie Flynn Rossdale and Kingston James McGregor Rossdale. However, due to the Hollaback Girl‘s hectic schedule with The Voice, her shows and promotional tours for the L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers lines, Mr. Rossdale is expected to have the children more often.

The pair, who did not sign a prenup when they wed in London and Los Angeles in 2002, was supposed to respect California laws and add all of their earnings and split the amount in half. Rossdale, who is worth about $30 million, has decided to take very little from Stefani’s $80 million fortune. Rossdale and Stefani, who filed for divorce earlier this year citing irreconcilable differences, will officially split before Christmas.

Stefani, who wrote the hit songs, “Don’t Speak,” “Sunday Morning,” and “Hey You” after her split with bandmate, Tony Kanal, has already penned a track about Rossdale. Stefani and her fellow coaches – Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Pharrell Williams – were on the Today show on Tuesday where Matt Lauer asked her about the emotional music video for the track. Lauer asked:

“Your personal life has also been in the headlines. Fans are looking at this, and are they misinterpreting something here, or is it all right there in front of us, in terms of the meaning of the song?”

A very surprised Stefani answered by saying:

“What I’ll say about that is that I’ve never put a record out where I’m actually going through things in real time. Like, [1995 No Doubt album] Tragic Kingdom? I wrote that record over a three-year period, and then it came out, and it was like, two years on tour; it was like this long, drawn-out thing. I wrote that song a couple weeks ago.”

Stefani is currently working on her upcoming third studio album.
