Girl Dies After Eating Peanut – A mother who is mourning the death of her 7-year-old daughter believes that the child could have been saved if officials at Hopkins Elementary School in Virginia had simply given the kid some Benadryl or if they had accepted the emergency plan she had advised them to which consisted of having a stock of EpiPen.

Police investigation concluded that Ammaria Johnson died having an allergic reaction to peanut.

The little girl suffered after a school friend gave her a peanut during recess.

Her mother, Laura Pendleton, insisted that if the school nurse had given her a shot of EpiPenshe, the child would have not gone into cardiac arrest and die just moments later.

Ammaria Johnson’S death has pushed parents of children with severe allergy reactions to demand a law that would make it illegal not to have EpiPen in every school in America.

Parents are also waging war against General Mills, after the cereal giant started selling “Peanut Butter Cheerios.”

Children often share food in school playgrounds and for some kids just the smell of peanut or kiwi can mean death.

an allergy that severe would have been detected years ago. if the girl was educated about her allergy, she would of asked if it was a peanut. i am a parent of a peanut allergy child and my child won’t accept any food without asking it has “nut” in it first. it it very sad and unfortunate what happened but you can’t lay total blame on the school district.
