G-Ticket Google’s Alternative to Ticketmaster on The Way?
*Sponsored Links*G-Ticket Google’s Alternative to Ticketmaster – Google has made it a priority to release alternative versions of popular services that currently inhabit the web. Obviously, they won’t be able to compete with every company in every industry, but a few of them do perform well (see: Google Maps). Fresh off rumors regarding a social networking for platform that is currently in development, reportedly titled “Google Me,” it now appears that Google may be releasing an alternative service for Ticketmaster. The service is tentatively titled “G-Ticket.”

In a recent thread on the website Reddit, people voiced their displeasure with Ticketmaster. The hope was that if the users of the website entered the term “G-Ticket Google’s Alternative to Ticketmaster”,” enough times into Google’s search, than someone from the company would take notice and see that there is space for them in the marketplace. It was an interesting marketing idea for a niche website that would meet the needs of Ticketmaster’s unsatisfied customers.
It worked. The phrase made it all the way up to No. 11 on Google’s Hot Searches list. That definitely means that the grassroots campaign was seen by the company. Now the question becomes; will they act on it?
The service does not currently exist, but now Google is aware that there is a demand for the service. With Google launching so many different products that were never requested by their user base, it would be odd for them to completely ignore a grassroots campaign from Google users. There has been no official comment on the story as of yet.
