Newt Gingrich Gets Fred Thompson Endorsement
Fred Thompson Endorses Newt Gingrich – Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich got a welcome endorsement on Monday night as he was debating his rivals including former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney in Tampa, Florida.
Gingrich who took a less aggressive approach during the NBC debate, landed the support of former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson, who ran for the GOP nomination in 2008.
Thompson appeared on Fox News, where he talked positively about Gingrich’s leadership and conservative credentials.
The former “Law & Order” actor told host Sean Hannity:
“I have come to the growing realization that Newt Gingrich is the guy who can articulate what America is all about.”
