An Emma Watson Matthew Lewis tweet almost broke the internet. Last week, Miss Emma Watson took to social media networking site Twitter to promote the third season of Matthew Lewis’ hilarious series Bluestone 42 on BBC.

Watson shared a photo of her Harry Potter co-star, Matthew Lewis, dressed in his army uniform looking very serious. It is safe to say that Lewis no longer looks like Neville Longbottom.

The UN Women Goodwill Ambassador used the caption to remind people that the third season of the series had started on March, 9, 2015 and it aired every Monday night.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower actress captioned the photo with:

“He looks very serious here but is hilarious in #Bluestone42. Watch @Mattdavelewis on @BBCthree Monday@10pm. So Good!!”

Within hours, the tweet went viral with thousands of retweets and almost 10k favorites. Pleased and moved by Emma Watson’s gesture, Matthew Lewis quickly replied with a sweet message of his own. The Where the Heart Is star tweeted:

“Always said you’re my favourite!”

That post has also received over a thousand retweets.

In Bluestone 42, Matthew Lewis plays Corporal Gordon “Towerblock” House, a butcher’s son from Armley, who is proud of his Yorkshire heritage. Towerblock is passionate about machinery and “stuff that goes bang.”

The series also stars Oliver Chris, Tony Gardner, Jamie Quinn, Scott Hoatson, Stephen Wight and Katie Lyons.

Here is a brief description of the show:

Bluestone 42 is a comedy drama series about a British bomb disposal detachment in Afghanistan during Operation Herrick, first broadcast on 5 March 2013 on BBC Three. The comedy focuses on the camaraderie between the soldiers, situational comedy, bureaucracy, conflicts of interests and relationships, and is contrasted with the deadly situations the soldiers are required to defuse. A major plot arc revolves around a will-they-won’t-they relationship between the Captain and the Padre.

As stated above, the internet went wild after Watson shared her post. One person commented on her generosity:

“Nice of Emma Watson to help Matthew Lewis out, and Emma is a nice girl in general. She’s a beautiful girl, too.”

But most of the tweets were about how hot Matthew Lewis aka Neville Longbottom looks. One die-hard fan wanted to know if he is available. She asked:

“I still can’t believe he was Neville! Man, Matthew aged well!Is he single?

Another one was apparently crying over the star’s physique. The woman stated:

“HE IS SO SO CUTE IM CRYIN.”

One compared him to Captain America. The person wrote:

“Matthew Lewis lloks as hot as Chris Evans (Captain America).”

Emma Watson’s Matthew Lewis tweet is a hit and some people are wondering if those two could end up together. What are your thoughts on Waston’s gesture?
