Our daughter Elisabeth (yes, with an “s”) once responded with indignation when someone called her by a diminutive form of her name; her name is Elisabeth, and don’t you forget it! I should point out, however, that she was less than three years old at the time. Today she is a clinical counselor at Johns Hopkins University Hospital, and I suspect she meets with people who behave like Ms. Becton on a daily basis – as PATIENTS. I am the last person to chide another for failure to control one’s anger, but I also believe one should deal with personal issues that become inflated completely out of proportion. Now, there were times when my late mother recoiled at being called Katie (her name was Kathryn), but those were usually the times when she was also suffering from exacerbations of ulcerative colitis.
Exactly, nothing more need be added.
all i can think of is the song by the TING TINGs– ” thats not my name! HEY! thats not my name!”
Hi Liz. We have enough crazy people on this plane
I would tell ElizaBITCH exactly where to go, along with the other wicked witch, SENATOR “Babs” Boxer (a.k.a. M’am)!! What unbridled arrogance on display from these PUBLIC SERVANTS!! How dare a lowly peon use an improper form of address to her highness?? They can both kiss my Red, White and Blue butt!!
Just shows that the staff are as arrogant as their Congressional empoyers. This government is out of control.
I htink she needs to get a life, and I think she needs to be fired. If she was addressed incorrectly, I see no problem with the correction, but she went to far and wasted company resources (our company).
GET A LIFE LIZ
let’s call a spade a spade. this person is a nobody. people spit in other people’s faces everyday that doesn’t get any attention. this being brought to light just shows she is even more of a nobody than most others. i don’t worry about less than nobodies.
sounds like ole Liz Becton was hanging on to sanity by a very thin thread, and that thread just snapped. if she’ll fly off the handle like that over being called “Liz”, can you imagine what it must be like to work with her day in and day out when REAL problems arise?
hey Congressman McDermott, if your staffer–Liz Becton–has so much free time on her hands that she can prosecute being called “Liz” over a string of a dozen or so emails, then she’s either shirking her responsibilities, or she needs to be assigned a greater workload. considering my tax dollars are paying for this shrike’s salary, I demand my money’s worth! seems to me like I’m not getting it!
What a twit. How quickly these do-nothing bureaucrats forget they work for US.
