Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus feud is no longer a secret. Lovato and Cyrus are no longer friends because one wants to drink, while the other is trying to stay sober.
The Demi Lovato Miley Cyrus friendship has ended on a bitter note. For several weeks, rumors have been circulating that Lovato and Cyrus had a huge fallout that killed their relationship.
In a new interview with The TJ Show on Boston’s 103.3 AMP Radio last week, Demi Lovato confirmed that she is no longer speaking to Miley Cyrus.
A fan asked, why did she unfollow Miley Cyrus back in March, and the singer replied by saying:
“Um, yeah — that, um, we’re, we’re like, we’re acquaintances.”
While Demi Lovato no longer considers Miley Cyrus as a friend, she is not interested in bad talking her either. Lovato explained:
“Miley has been one of my best friends growing up and so I’m happy for her.She’s doing what she wants to do and this is her time to break out and figure out, you know, what she wants to do in her career and her image and everything…I’m happy seeing her happy because I love her so much. And, you know, she doesn’t care what people think, nor should she.”
A close source to Lovato spoke to E! and revealed why the “Heart Attack” singer has decided to stay away from Miley Cyrus.
Lovato, who was in rehab for anger management issues, drug addiction, depression, cutting and eating disorders, has drastically changed her life and no longer wants people who can bring her back to that destructive path around her. According to Examiner, the source stated:
“Miley is a wild card and Demi has made a point of not surrounding herself with people” who party too much, adding that “Demi’s sobriety is very important to her. Demi tries to be reserved in public and cares very much about how she is perceived.”
The insider went on to add that while they are on very different paths, do not expect to hear about any Demi Lovato Miley Cyrus cat fight anytime soon. The person added:
“About six months ago at a small gathering, both Miley and Demi were there. They were in the same room for a only a few moments, and it was super-awkward, very girly high-school, pretending to ignore each other. They didn’t speak, they didn’t even make eye contact.”
Last week, while Miley was getting high, drunk, going topless, playing with with pink penises and having public makeout sessions with Patrick Schwarzenegger during her 22nd birthday party, Demi was on tour in Europe and tweeting things like:
“I feel like I don’t fit in with Hollyweird at all and I’m actually kind of proud/happy about that.”

Kudos to Demi Lovato, everyone thinks that growing up with the advantages of her career had to be easy, well really, since when is growing up ever easy. She’s proven she’s got the strength to endure her own personal demons, rise above them and move on, getting stronger as she goes. It’s not easy to distance yourself from those that you care for when you see things that you know, as a person, you just can’t be around.
