Chris Martin crashed a party being thrown by his ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, in a very cute way. Paltrow hosted a fancy event outside of her Hamptons mansion, and Martin made a surprise appearance in a suit with no shoes on.
Chris Martin crashes a party in The Hamptons in a suit and no shoes because it is summer and because he is a cool rocker. On Thursday evening, Gwyneth Paltrow threw a very lavish garden party in the backyard of her stunning mansion in The Hamptons.
Paltrow’s Goop was celebrating its new partnership with Net-a-Porter. The dinner party was attended by several of Paltrow’s famous friends including Jessica Seinfeld and Molly Sims. Net-a-Porter exec Sarah Rutson was also present.
Dressed in a black tweed top and matching shorts, Paltrow treated her guests to a beach-inspired menu and summer drinks. According to several attendees, at some point during the soirée, Paltrow’s children – Apple, 11, and Moses, 9 – invaded the backyard in mini cars.
The pair drove around and mingled with the guests. They were more surprises for the partygoers, after Apple and Moses made their appearance, their father, Chris Martin, arrived in a big way. The lead vocalist of Coldplay showed up in style by sporting a fancy suit and no shoes.
A barefoot Chris Martin spoke to some guests and told them how proud and happy he was for the mother of his children. Many were surprised by Martin’s appearance because just prior to the gathering, Paltrow was on vacation with her new boyfriend and Glee co-creator, Brad Falchuk.
The lovers were seen getting very comfortable and cozy with each other as they dined at a fancy restaurant in Italy. Moreover, it is a known fact that Martin has been dating Jennifer Lawrence.
In a recent interview, Gwyneth Paltrow revealed that despite their decision to consciously uncoupled, they are doing all they can to keep a social relationship and co-parent their children. She said:
“You know Daddy and I are famous and there’s going to be a lot of stuff out there. I can’t control what you’ll see,’ the doting mother had said to her children.But you know what’s real and how much we love you.”
She went on to add that one of the ways why she can have a great relationship with Martin is by avoiding the tabloids and all the strange things they publish about them. She added:
“I definitely don’t read any tabloids.You really have to find a way to separate the words of people you respect – stranger or not, but respectful content, positive or negative – and people who are just in pain and projecting their own s*** onto you.If you read something bad about yourself and it stings you I’ve learned that somewhere that’s a judgment I’m holding about myself so I’ll try to work through that.”

It’s true what Gwyneth says–I’m in pain and probably just projecting but I must comment–simply can’t refrain. If what I say here “stings” she’ll just have to work through that judgment. But, I think the reason Chris showed up to her backyard soiree without his shoes on is that Jennifer Lawrence didn’t want him to go so she hid them–but he boldly padded over to the charming affair anyway! Such a cool dude, huh!
