Bristol Palin Dancing With The Stars ABC Winner?
Bristol Palin Dancing With The Stars ABC Winner? – A shocking result on the latest results show of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ has eliminated R&B star Brandy, and pushed Bristol Palin through to the finale. Although Palin received the lowest score from the judges again, it seemed that the voting public did not want to see her leave. It would appear that Bristol Palin has become one of America’s favorite dancers judging by the numerous amount of times that audience voting has kept her on the show.
Her latest dance, a Paso Doble, earned her three nine’s from the judges. However, her competitors received scores that were higher, considering that no one left without a nine.
Although Brandi and Palin received the same score from the judges on their Paso Doble, Brandi received a perfect score from the judges for her Argentine Tango, and Palin only received a 26 out of 30 for her second dance, which was a Waltz.
Brandi said that she was quite stunned by the announcement, saying, “I don’t know how I feel right now”. Brooke Burke, co-host of the show, along with judge Bruno Tonioli were both shocked by the elimination. Tonioli told Brandi that she could appear in the finale anyway, but she did not give and answer.

Bristol got more votes … it’s as simple as that. She is obviously the darling of Americans who want to see her stay to the end. Brandy has an unappealing attitude and her partner did her no favors.
Jean – the show is not about being “America’s darling”, it’s about being the best DANCER and, no offense, Bristol is NOT the best dancer! If politics are influencing the votes then the show has become a joke and an insult to all of talented dancers that have been voted off this season. Should Bristol win there will be alot of loyal fans who no longer watch the show – I will be one of them
dancing queen, the show is about dancing but primarily about the stars performing, not necessarily about being the best dancer. Whoever entertains the audience the most and gets people to watch the show should stay on the show. Bristol does that. Everyone likes an underdog. its also about who improves and learns the most. If you want the best dancers then only get people who are dancers or entertainers. Don’t get a chef or even a race car driver.
There definitely was a scoring error. Bristol no way should have taken 3rd place. I understand that there was a glitch in the phone scoring. How could any one ever get 100 votes in one hour?.
I just tried to dial Jennifer and Dereck and the phone claims” the party we were calling has declined to accept this call”. There is something definitely wrong going on with the voting. If Bristol gets the globe, there will be a big drop in your audience.
Maybe they should change the percentages of scoring.
Dancing Queen, I whole heartedly agree with you. I’ve watched this show from season 1. It appears now to be a real joke. It has become a popularity show. It seems that the quality of dancing is currently lost and mudded up with other foolishness. I for one am signing off from a show that I enjoyed watching. Someone said something about an underdog rising to the top, however there have been many underdogs that were voted off in past seasons!
Jean – the show is not about being “America’s darling”, it’s about being the best DANCER and, no offense, Bristol is NOT the best dancer! dancing queen is WRONG!!! DWTS is NOT a strictly dance show. There are places to go for strict dance competition, but DWTS isn’t it.
If it were a competition, it would be a very unfair one, with a a set of “ringers” put in to give the others no chance at all.
No, dancingqueen, DWTS is a show that combines learning a new skill with connection. For whatever reason (and Bristol has shown far and away the BIGGEST improvement in her skills), the three finalists all had to overcome some physical challenges, and yet still deliver decent dancing.
Bristol should never have been on the show in the first place. SHE IS NOT A STAR. She is only known because of her mother and she got knocked up without being married. If that is the case, there are alot of teen moms I would rather see than this one. She never shows any emotion when dancing and it irritates the hell out of me. If you are going to screw more deserving people out of that trophy, at least show that you enjoyed it.
I highly doubt that Bristol is the favorite of most of the people that watch DWTS. I FIRMLY believe that her mother being in politics has everything to do with it. AND everything to do with the fact that Bristol even got on the show in the first place. Bristol is a horrible dancer. She can go through the moves with a decent understanding, but what she lacks is any kind of passion and expression in her dancing ability. The reason she should be on the show should not be because she has her mommy’s friends and political party voting for her, but about her dancing ability. That’s what the show is about anyway. The best dancing individual and couple. Same thing with American Idol. It should not be about favoritism, but about who is the best singer and actually SHOULD be the top dancer/singer.
I have been a fan of DWTS since its first season. After watching all of this season I find it to be very disappointing. In particular, the status of Bristol Pahlin. I never thought that this show was a popularity contest, but apparently I was wrong. The judges have put her at the bottom of the leader board nearly every episode,,,maybe because she CAN’T DANCE?!!!!! Yet week after week she is back, knocking out talented stars who have worked their butts off and have evolved into really fine dancers. The whole idea of the show has been tarnished because there are either a million teens who think she’s cute, or, more likely, she has become a political statement, maybe tea party loyalists, who keep voting her back. If she wins in the finals, the show will be tarnished from then on. If winning isn’t about the dance, then the show may as well quit, because it will never recover its honorable reputation without a major overhaul in the voting process. If the best dancer can’t win, why bother?
I could not agree more. I think that some people have stated having voted 300 times, according to TV reports. That is FRAUD. There needs to be some investigation into how this can take place. The credibility of the system is flawed.
I watched very talented people with musicality and skill leave, while Bristol stayed on. It is not fair. She is a moderately talented person and probably a nice person. But if this is inspired by a political action group then it is FRAUD and I believe that the management of Dancing with the Stars should look into this. If necessary, the system needs to be restructured so that the popular vote only contributes 1/3 to to the total.
DWTS should be about DANCING!
I totally agree,,,yes she is a nice girl, its been fun watching her come out of her shell and start to feel comfortable,,,,but…. as you say she is not the best dancer, she has a long long way to go to reach that status. Maybe Brandi doesn’t have a “sweet” personality but she can dance. I feel sorry for the pros also, they have put so much into training people just to lose because political reasons. If Bristol wasn’t Sarah Palin’s daughter she would have been gone the lst week. I think another year they should steer clear of contestants with any politcal connections…..
The show is NOT only about being the best dancer. If it were, then they should not allow professional performers like Jennifer, Brandi, and Kyle.
Isn’t the show about judging those who do the best and can really dance? Sorry, but it must have become a tea party political popularity vote in this case. So sorry for Brandy as she is truly the
better dancer. And isn’t this Dancing with the Stars? And when did Bristol merit the title of star, what
has she ever starred in? Sorry but this is a ripe off for a good show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My sentiments exactly!!!! Bristol Palin is not a star and it is clear she should not have been on the show to begin with. Brandi should still be in the competition and Palin should have been out weeks ago or never on at all. She does not qualify as a star only an unwed mother. She is living on her mothers coat tails! Sarah Palin is the one who would have qualified as a political star of some kind, hopefully not running for president (dread the thought) unless the Republicans want to hand the election to Obama. Dancing with the Stars is becoming Dancing with People instead of Stars. So anyone should be able to get on the show if they really want to. Just please someone, tell me how she is a star?
Well, what did people say when Kate Gosslin was on DWTS? She could not dance either, but she got out there and did her best. Why have a show with nothing but excellent dancers, where is the competition? As far as her mother goes, so what. She has a popular mother. I don’t see her mother doing the dancing, I do believe she has a lot of people from Alaska voting for her, so what, If you don’t like it change the channel or cut it off.
At least, as painful as it was to watch sometimes, Kate Gosslin was a star, even if was only a reality tv star. She earned the right to be there in the first place. BRISTOL DID NOT EARN THE RIGHT TO BE ON THAT STAGE…SHE IS NOT A STAR!!!
Kate Gosselin is a star???????? If I extort my children on TV, can I be a star too? It really bothers people like you when anyone that is conservative gets any type of positive criticism. You must be a fan of MSNBC, where they live to tear down people with morals and values.
A dance competition?? Not a star? You must be joking! Are football players, basketball players, politicians, “reality stars.” etc. real stars? In the past however many seasons of DWTS, I have seen dozens of no-talent non-stars lumbering across the stage – some who actually got better by the end of the season. If this show was interested in only “stars” and only “real” dancers – then it is on them and not the poor innocents they lure on the show for ratings purposes. They bring these people on only to tear them down and then shove the people they think should win down our throats. It is disgusting watching them fawn over their choices like star-struck groupies. They purposely left the last selection down to Bristol and Brandy. Why not Kyle? Why not Jennifer? I think it is obvious. What were the actual numbers in the past weeks? So many others in the past who weren’t as talented as others have gone far in the competitions – and I have never seen such a deplorable reaction to a single contestant – which seems soley based on her mother’s political affiliation. Tea Party??? How about the new “Paranoia” Party. After the disgusting way they treated Bristol I intend to never watch the show again, and I hope others follow.
YOU CAN SAY WHATEVER YOU LIKE. BISTOL IS A DANCING JOKE. SHE IS NOT GETTING ANY BETTER AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN BUTTED OFF THE FIRST WEEK.
YOU CAN SAY WHAT YOU WANT AS WELL BECAUSE YOU JUST PROVE MY POINT. 75% of the people they get for the show are dancing jokes – - the “Hoff,” the “Sitch,” Mrs. Brady, last year’s Kate Gosselin, etc. etc. etc. They all obviously feel they have a chance or why would they do it. I definitely feel that Jennifer has been the best since day one and deserves to win it all, but have you even watched the show? Bristol has gotten much better. The fans do have a voice, but relax, I am quite sure that the judges will ensure that she does not to win, even if the fans want her to.
DWS is a favorite show of many in our mid-west area. It brings so much enjoyment; but….we are schocked, sickened, and outraged that Bristol Palin has made it to the finals. Do we not like Bristol…of course we do..that’s not the issue! The issue is that it appears that the judges have a “gag order” when it comes to critique of her dancing. In fact, they lavish unearned praise. This is no life lesson for a young woman that will be going out into the world. Her mother’s popularity will wane and then what and who is going to lie to her and help her cope with the world? There’s talk of the Tea Party being involved. I have no idea if that’s possible; but someone has influenced ABC CEO’s. This season of DWS has been frustrating and frightening. Yet, I love the band and the music they provide and have great admiration for anyone who makes a commitment to being a contestant. Thank goodness that Bristol Palin can’t be a contestant on the next DWS…hopefully they won’t ask Sarah Palin.
If you think the judges have lavished unearned praise on Bristol, then you know nothing of ballroom dancing, or performance in general. She has improved far more than anyone else on the show, especially starting from no experience in areas where others have had years of professional experience.
I think Bristol has gone as far as she has because she is like the vast majotiry of us, she can’t dance! Look at jennifer Grey, her dad is Joel Grey, a dancer and she was made famous for being Baby on Dirty Dancing. Brandi-who I did hate to see leave, does have some danceing experience, not to mention she i use to the spotlight as she is a singer. If they don’t want to make this a popularity contest, then they need to go back to just judges votes.
I think Bristol has showed the most progress because she started off not being able to dance at all, to being able to compete. GO BRISTOL!!
Ever since ABC aired Kate Gosselin on DWTS, I completely stopped watching the show. It is obvious that this show has already gone to it’s lowest point.
i no longer watch this show,,i guess that its great to be pregnat at 16, and have a baby at 17,,she sure isnt any role model for anybody, why is bristol on this show anyway?because of her mother (another idiot),,,i used to love this show but think its fixed,,bristol cant dance and being a teenage mother certainly doesnt make her famous,,,,just stupid,,,if she wins this show then the show might just as well go off the air because me and alot of other people will not watch ever again,,,
DANCING WITH THE STARS IS THE NAME OF THE SHOW NOT-ATTITUDE WITH THE STARS. THE SHOW IS ABOUT THE DANCE, BRANDY AND HER PARTNER GOT A RAW DEAL!
If you want a show strictly based on dance competition, then watch Championship Ballroom Dancing. If you want the DWTS winner to be judged strictly on dance, then include ONLY experienced professional performers like Brandi, Jennifer, Kyle, etc. OR exclude the professionals completely.
It’s not a fair or interesting competition if the field isn’t level.
Is Kyle a dancer? What did he dance in or where did he take his training? I thought that he was an actor.
Ballroom dancing? Do they jive on that? I love the jive.
I tried calling in to the show and couldn’t get an answer to vote.
And FINALLY, why is everyone bringing up her personal life??? If someone in my family or that I know had a child out of wedlock at a young age, I as an adult would not act superior and condemn them, what do people think that she should “hide in shame” the rest of her life?
So come on people ACT LIKE ADULTS!
A show is not reason to point fingers and look down our long Victoian noses at others.
For the record, I too don’t feel that she qualifies to be in the finals but only because there are better dancers and they too have made big steps forward with their dancing!
I am appalled that others see this as a ‘Tea Party’ ‘thing.Get Real . Just because you don’t like her Mother is a pretty poor excuse to bad mouth Bristol. What about the fact that she was a breath of fresh air and that shyness she exhibited spoke volumes about how difficult it was for her to be seen as ‘sexy’ and how hard she had to work to progress as she did. Common, Jennifer Grey an amature dancer? And you think Brandi has not had all sorts of professional dancie instruction over her years as singer. I guess America likes to see sweet gentle personality as much as they like to be entertained by the dancing. Ask yourself, who improved the most and isn’t that what this is about???
I agree with Rae Jean. I think that people are voting for the ones that don’t have the experience as Brandi had, so therefore go Bristol. I will wait and see the finals. I also believe that Kyle is still on there because of his wit and Bristol is on there because she has grown out of her cocoon finally and we will have to wait and see what happens next Monday night and who voted for who on Teusday.
Again I say, get rid of the professional dancer Jennifer and I will consider not voting for Palin. You want things to be FAIR so lets make it FAIR. Goodbye Jennifer.
I believe that the only reason that Bristol is still on DWTS, is because of who her mom is. She CANT DANCE for sure and should have been voted off weeks ago, I agree with everyone thats sayn this is not a popularity contest, this is a DANCE show last time i checked and this season is just straight up a JOKE!!!! The ones that have the REAL talent are being sent home because this Bristol girl has all her moms supporters standn behind her, she really needs to get her bags packed and go HOME!!!!!!!!!! She has no personality and truly does not deserve to still be on the show, I quit watchn DWTS which is sad because I have been a fan since season one!!! Such a disappointment this season turned out to be.
I thought more people disliked than liked Palin & they could’ve voted her off early on..they must not be voteing at all.
There are a lot of TV shows, such as American Idol do things to get things, so to speak, stirred up. Just like when Chris Daughtred was voted off and all the boooing went on. Yes, it may have something to do with her mother, but the judges put in 50% and the American people 50%, that is why she still may be on. I think she had no dance experience as Kate Gosslin had none. But, there must be something, or she would not still be on there. I DON’T see her beating Jennnifer & Derek. They are tooooo hot.
I am so sick and tired of the bristol-bashing. First of all, Brandy was not only beaten by Bristol, but she also lost to to Jennifer and Kyle – and this probably wasn’t the first week that it happened. However, they have turned it into a Sarah Palin, Tea Party, on-line vote campaign conspiracy. Perhaps it is a personality problem. Some people think that they deserve to win and they comes across as arrogant – which is not attractive to many viewers. Brandy only appeared to be somewhat more humble in the last week or two. They obviously wanted Palin and other non-trained (such as the situation) for the show because of the ratings possibilities and entertainment when they try to humiliate them – as if they are supposed to know dance moves that it takes years to learn. If people are so upset that the “real dancers” don’t make it all the way to the end, then why do they not require that all celebrities have equal qualifications. What fun would that be? Why have people on at all if they are already judged to be not deserving or have the talent to go all the way. I have been surprised by many people that have made it as far as they have on all of these reality shows – American Idol for one, when nobody thought Ruben Studdard should have won. Who cares – if people take the time to vote many times – that makes them passionate about their choice. Nobody turned that into a “democratic liberal” conspiracy. I heard comments on the View that Bristol got much more play time and positive feedback from the judges – what show were they watching” She was always criticized harshly, as shown by the scores, and I learned as much about her as I did about all of the other celebrities. Unfortunately for haters, she and some others came across as underdogs that we wanted to root for and prove that you don’t have to have professional training to make it far on a talent show!! It was also disgraceful for any of the contestants, dancers, and judges to show their disdain for what happened in the way that they did. It is not Bristol Palin’s fault that people like her – they really like her!!!!
You are so correct Steph – this is a popularity vote – Leave Bristol alone – she is a young adult trying to make her life her own! So what if Brandy was voted off – guess she didn’t have enough fans – and that is what this show, just like AMERICAN IDOL and others are all about – fans – who people LIKE and how they Vote for. I am so tired of people in general picking on Bristol – yea – she was a teenager who got pregnant…. BIG DEAL – millions of teenagers in the USA get pregnant every year – don’t see anyone talking about them on tv….She chose to have her baby and is choosing to raise him – Good for her! ABC called and invited her to participate in this show – she accepted – has no training whatsoever in the HOLLYWOOD world of TV or films, no dance training or anything – she was just a high school kid and now a parent. Americans need to wake up – we have so many issues with this country of ours right now that are far more important than who wins a popular dance trophy via fan votes…..If you don’t like the show or the results – DON’T WATCH IT! you do actually have a choice to NOT watch TV….and all you people belly aching that this is no competition – why don’t you try it – see how you do. I hope Bristol wins the whole damn thing! personally i do not watch TV hardly at all – maybe 1 hour during an entire month – but I have heard people talking about this. Get in touch with reality and discuss something really important like how to fix AMERICA – our country is being flushed right down the toilet and no one seems to care. We have idiots running rampant in Washington starting at the TOP and giving our country away.
I agree with every word you typed.
I agree with all your coments as well!!
NOT!!!
My wife and I stopped watching this show two seasons ago because of forced judging behavior and what appears to be nothing less than “FIXED” results in the show. I hope all americans who have watched this show will realize that the show is fixed from the beginning of the season not worth watching as their is NO COMPETITION in fact….. The only female dancer who had any talent from what I had seen and heard of in all this competition was Nicole Sherzinger (sp-?) and Pamela Anderson!!!
debra, you are a minority. The show is audience interactive. The audience rules. Otherwise lets not have people vote, only the judges should count.
I felt really bad for the dancers that were left to compete next week. The judges reaction to Brandy being voted off was totally out of line and the way they rediculed the public for not voting and letting the best dancer leave was unacceptable! She left because we DID vote and NOT everybody is gaga for Brandy!!! What made them think this vote went any way except the way the public viewers wanted it to go? Not everyone liked Brandy’s attitude. She thought she was better than everyone else right from the beginning. I’m not saying I think Bristol should win from those that are left, but Brandy did need to go home. And the judges need to quit being so biased towards certain dancers. They have been falling all over Brandy from the very beginning of the competition and they have been that way for the last several seasons with certain dancers. But, when it comes down to scolding the audiance for not voting because someone gets sent home they don’t want to see go…..time to turn the channel.
Couldn’t agree more!!!
D’accord.
just because Bristol may be getting more votes because of her mother, it is what it is, the votes that come in prove it, everyone just needs to get over themselves.
to the procers of this show: You should lose you jobs for this to be allowed to happen. As many
things that are being written by water of the show, you can’t be that stupid to not realized what has happened. What’s the matter? has moma dearest threatened to get you fired. Shame on you to let this happen.
If Britol can dance, I can grow wings and fly. Hope you ccan sleep at night.
She can dance better than you can spell!
Bristol Paylin came on the Show and started like anyone of us who hasn’t had professional dancing lessons all her life, she has done wonderful , all the stars have done really wonderful, some have had a little attitude, thats everywhere you go though…. Just what if the voters saw the improvement week after week in any of the dancers shouldn’t they get reconition for trying to do something that is so new to each of them…………………. Voters who watch the show vote for who they like…. not everyone in America is going to love the Couple that win, everyone has their own choice ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Bristol you have tried very hard ‘ just like all the other couple’s……
Shades of hanging chads. The Republican (teabaggers) machine used the nifty little computers to call, just like they do before an election. Palen is a cute young woman, but if you don’t pick the best dancer, it isn’t a dance contest, it’s a cute young woman contest. A lot has been written about how she improved. Everyone improved. Rick Fox’s level of improvement was amazing. Palen performed her under choreographed, overly simplistic dances well. But they were not in the same league as those performed by others. If others had underperformed and done her dances they would have been nailed by the judges. They gave her a major pass because of who she was. I too will probably not be back.
FYI, DWTS is NOT a dance contest. If you thought it was, you likely think that WWF is for real.
Not popular, no. Can you read? OH, that’s right, ya can’t.
as much as I like Bristol and she has improved, Brandy outdanced her. What’s going on?
Rehearsal for 2012?
I felt like the man that shot his TV out, when Bristal Palin won. I tried over a dozen times to vote for another dancer, and my calls would not go through. How many others had this problem????? Jennifer Grey deserves to win, because she has come back from a serious neck injury, and can actually dance. Just watching the responce of the other dance pros was enough to tell you Brandy got ripped off. MAMMA BEAR, YOUR KID CAN`T DANCE!!!!!!!!!
Wrong on both counts. I didn’t connect while voting for Bristol more times than I connected.
And Bristol has developed into a very good dancer. Far better than 95% of the adults I see taking ballroom dance lessons (although working on it 5-6 days a week for 3 months MAY have something to do with it.
I agree with you. If you are passionate about your favorite, you continue dialing until you get through and get to your limit of 5 votes.
Bristol was a shy and inhibited young lady. She has blossomed into a strong young lady. Her foot work, frame and timing is right on. I vote for her because I like her and because she has improved week to week.
Nil, baby, Nil…..that’s what you got, girl. When Melinda Doolittle was voted off, it was just another example of the public not recognizing talent and money, looks, or political persuasion taking over! Unfortunately, that’s life. I’ll not spend another minute watching this show and what ever the other was called either. Mindless television and if it is such a controversy, you may as well watch the night news instead to get your fill of contentiousness.
BRISTOL WON OVER BRANDI BECAUSE OF THE VIEWERS VOTE ISN’T THAT WHAT IT IS ABOUT ANYWAY. IF YOU THINK THATS SOMTHING WAIT UNTIL THE FINALE AND SHE IS THE RUNNER UP THE JUDGES SAID HER TECHNIQUE IS EXCELLENT THE OTHER GUY MAKES A LOT MORE MISTAKES BUT COVERS THEM UP BETTER WITH HIS THEATRICS. WHATS THE RACTION GOIMG TO BE TO THAT?
You all need to realize that its all fixed.. Bristol is only sill there because of her mother.. We all know this. She can not dance its just as simple as that. This show is suppose to be about who dances the best not about who makes the best improvements. I don’t vote just for the simple fact I think its fixed, like most live/reality shows. So again Bristol is there for her mom, Im not saying shes a bad person Im just simply saying that she can not dance, therefore she should have been gone a long time ago.
Wrong! DWTS is NOT about who dances the best. Or do you think WWF is about real wrestling?
Everyone relax. Doesn`t anyone realize that ABC is loving this. It`s all about ratings baby. Contraversy is what`s keeping the show going. I`ve been watching the show from the beginning, but I can tell you after this season, I am done, It`s turning into a joke. We all thought it was about the best dancer and obviously that is not it at all. Unless they change the voting rules and make the judges votes count more than the public, it will never be about the “best dancer”. So everyone will have to get over it, because Bristol will probably win. The only way to revolt is to stop watching. I know I can find something else to watch or do for two hours.
“about the best dancer”? Yeah, sure, let’s match up 31-year old Brandy (a professional singer and dancer) with a basketball player, a football player, a 72-year old actress/singer and have a contest based strictly on how well they dance.
First of all, I think Len should retire from being a judge. No wonder Bristol think she can dance because of mostly Lens great comments saying her dance was fantastic, give me a break. Second of all i think the voters at home should not get to vote anymore, but leave it up to the judges. Len usually give low scores, but noooo not with Bristol, with all those simple dances.
Hey! I was just going to write that.
I totally agree that Len favours Bristol. He always has criticism for every other dancer but seems very encouraging to her. Maybe he should criticize tall of their mistakes and offer them ALL encouragement!
THANK YOU MOM
I think Dancing with the stars is now a big joke. When the show first came on the air, one of the requirements was that no participates could have had any formal training in dance. Now that requirement has not been followed. Number 2, I thought that the winner had to be the best dancer, now that requirement is definitely not been followed. If you are going to continue to air this show, abc need to change their judging rules, because the present way is very unfair. These dancers work very hard to win, and they should all be given a fair chance. ABC should figure out a way that each contestant be judged fairly based on their performance and not on ones favorite dancer.
2. Each time Sarah Palin was present, she always was given the opportunity to make comments regarding Bristol’s performance, where the family members or supporters of the other dancers were shown, but was not given the opportunity to comment. Sarah Palins acknowledgement is fine in politics is fine, but not under those circumstance.
3. ABC up to this point, has always been my favorite network by far, but after watching this charade of Dancing with the stars (which Bristol Palin was certainly not a star) I have never seen such obvious bias on your network before.
A concerned fomer ABC viewer.
In what universe would Bristol Palin be considered a ‘star’? (I’m a lifelong Republican BTW and i voted for her mother, so I’m not a ‘hater’, Bristol). I’ve watched this show for eleven seasons because I thought the winner was supposed to be the ‘best’ dancer…not the contestant who could buy the most votes. If DWTS is just a popularity contest, then call it that….forget about the judges and let the public decide. If it’s truly about dancing then have only the judges vote (not the public); apologize for the fiasco this year and invite Brandy and Max to dance again next season because they were ROBBED this season. ABC should be ashamed for allowing Bristol Palin who is a whiny, self centered, immature brat to even be a contestant on this show!!! and she CAN’T DANCE!!!
PS: If there are no changes to the DWTS format next season (both in how contestants are selected and how they are judged) I will be one of the millions who will no longer watch the show.
Don’t lie – you sound just like any other liberal idiot.
There’s little doubt the Little Palin Princess will end up the winner-not because she deserves or earned it, but because her mom and sheep aided and abetted her to cheat. You know? I watched a show that showed incredible things hackers can do these days. And with those DDEEEEPPP Mama pockets, who knows what else they can accomplish. How many different phone lines did they end up creating? Auto-diaing? -just so she “wins”. But when you have to cheat to win you are also admitting you’re not good enough. Therefore, that artificial “win” means nothing. Here’s a quote from Napoleon Bonaparte, that goes a long ways in explaining this Palin phenomena. He stated,”Those HEARD seek out the great-not for their sake, but for their influence. And the great welcome them out of vanity or greed.” I hope it’s enough for all the real STARS-even The Situation (who clearly worked, did his best while Palin gave so little she actually GAINED weight), to know they deserved to be there and one of THEM should’ve won because they EARNED their STAR titles and applied it to learning to dancing so incredibly. The entire world knows they were ripped off. Shame on You All who helped this teen promote her mom by cheating her way to the top, not earning a darn thing. I sincerely hope Karma bites those responsible for this complete mockery right in their big fat A55E5. And I hope no one watches next season for a repeat of these political ploys. I know I won’t. Who wants condone more wrong over right.
Shame on you for bashing a young adult so viciously. You and several of commenters above you sound like raving lunatics. If you really believe that there was some sort of mass voting that was paid for by Sarah Palin, you really are delusional. They have this same theory everytime anyone wins any reality-based show that they do not agree with. If Sarah Palin and the Tea Party were that good, she would be Vice President now. Bristol certainly put in as much practice as “the situation” (obviously more), and for her lack of experience did very well.
Grow up and get a life!! The only people whining about this situation are all of you “Bristol haters”.
P.S. I agree totally with Max Von Bruno – it is not really a dance contest anyway, it is simply a way for many hasbeen celebrities, sports playes, and upcoming new personalities to have some fun and bask in the limelight!!.
Tell me, Bristol. You know? Kate always whined and said how “hard” she was practicing, etc. Do you think SHE deserved to win? You know, if she had as much help behind the scenes as you do, she might have won, too. Thankfully, the person who won that season earned it and WAS the best dancer. As for you judges. That guy who called you on artificially raising Bristol’s scores so it wouldn’t look QUITE so obvious? Good try but we can still tell the difference between her and the REAL STARS who put everything into it from the beginning.
Bristol Palin needs to leave Dancing With The Stars. She is a horrible dancer and is very strange…… Kyle Massey and Kacey should win. They clearly are much better dancers. Obviously Bristol is still on because of her mother Sarah Palin.
Hey, why no Canadians on this show? We watch it too. I’d love to see Gretzky dance!! lol!
Bristol should have been off from wk one, etc., She needs to go home and shoot animals with her mom on tv. Max von B we hear you! defending Bristol to the end, noble but very tea party, it shows in your dancing comments, it also shows your capacity to interpret a good dancer – you get an F! Bristol needs to continue her education so she can support her child and stay away from her mom’s territory.
