A Bourdain and Trump drama is making headlines. In a new interview, CNN host and globetrotter Anthony Bourdain slammed GOP presidential candidate, Donald Trump, who announced that he wanted to deport all 11 million illegal immigrants living and working in America.
Anthony Bourdain and Donald Trump will certainly not be having a Thanksgiving meal together after the harsh comments the chef made regarding the billionaire and reality star. Last week, Bourdain, the host of CNN’s hit show, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown sat down with Pete Dominick on Sirius XM, and he blasted Donald Trump.
Bourdain, a renowned chef, explained that he was not pleased with the disturbing remarks the presidential candidate made about immigrants. Mr. Trump, who is on top of most of the polls, stated that some of the Mexicans crossing the border are rapists and killers and if he is elected president he will deport all 11 or 12 million undocumented immigrants in country – regardless of how long they have been living and working in America. The former reality star said back in June:
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you . They’re not sending you . They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems to us. They’re bringing drugs.They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people! But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we’re getting. And it only makes common sense. They’re sending us not the right people. It’s coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming probably from the Middle East. But we don’t know. Because we have no protection and we have no competence, we don’t know what’s happening. And it’s got to stop and it’s got to stop fast.”
As the campaign went on, Trump kept insulting immigrants, veterans, women, but mainly Jeb Bush and the media and revealed that a giant wall will be built across the southern border and he will make the Mexican government pay for it.
Bourdain stated that if Trump sends all those immigrants home, most of the restaurants, (and countless hotels and farms) will close. Mr. Bourdain shared:
I grew up in the restaurant business — 30 years in the restaurant business. I came out of, like a lot of other white kids, I rolled out of a prestigious culinary institute and went to work in real restaurants. I walked into restaurants and always, the person who had been there the longest, who took the time to show me how it was done, was always Mexican or Central American. The backbone of the industry – meaning most of the people in my experience cooking, preparing your food. Twenty of those years in this business I was an employer, I was a manager employer. Never, in any of those years, not once, did anyone walk into my restaurant — any American-born kid — walk into my restaurant and say I’d like a job as a night porter or a dishwasher. Even a prep cook — few and far between. Just not willing to start at the bottom like that.

We had restaurants and hotels before we had illegal aliens.
If you or anybody else has a restaurant that cannot afford to pay rent you do not have a viable business. Same for employees.
Why is it that the CNN web site has nothing about this?

BS – I’m a white boy and tried to get a dish washing job in Philly. But they wouldnt hire me as I wouldnt work under the table. My best friend growing up was white guy and washed dishes at pizzeria.
mossomo I call that bluff. Im in the restaurant business where anglos outnumber latinos by far. I dont believe you and a ‘friend’ both had such experience. As Mr Bourdain said very few in between but almost none to be exact. But hey tell you what if your serious about it come on down to Texas & if I spot you I will give you the job to your or your buddy.

Anthony Bourdain’s comment/OPINION IS ABSOLUTE CRAP!!!! The American people need to stop falling for this pervasive/persistent LIE “THESE PEOPLE DO JOBS AMERICANS WON’T DO!” THE ONLY THING that would happen if we deported ALL Illegal Immigrants is the Companies would be forced to rehire the Americans that USED to do these same jobs. Here’s the news flash and truth for the people who make this statement…. Americans not only WILL do those jobs we did them before America’s Immigration problem! and if any one knows that it should be dumb-ass Anthony Bourdain and Donald Trump, who own Restaurants and BOTH ARE OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER THAT BUSINESS BEFORE THE IMMIGRATION PROBLEM! When Illegals began coming to this country no on said “oh my goodness, we have an influx of people coming from Mexico how are we going to take care of them? Where will they work? What we need to do is CREATE JOBs JUST FOR THE ILLEGALS ENTERING THIS COUNTRY!” No one said that, no one did that, no instead people began to offer them THE VERY SAME JOBS Americans were working BUT FOR $5/HR. I asked my mom, who’s in her 70’s, if she ate fruit as a kid she said “of course” I asked did you live in a Jungle or Forest or was the grass cut, when you traveled for work in the 1970’s did you have to clean your own room or did a Maid clean it? She said yes. OF course we had these same Services, Americans did this work all of the time and if you are willing to look or ask you can still find AMERICANS DOING, HOUSEKEEPING, CONSTRUCTION, LANDSCAPING AND TABLE BUSING/DISH-WASHING/COOKING. Read any John Steinbeck book of Mice and Men, the Migrant workers were Americans, The Grapes of Wrath the same, the Americans in those Books made their living off the Land; which is based loosely on Steinbeck’s beginnings as a Migrant worker in the 20’s, again an American. My family members USED to work Construction before the Overblown Immigration problem now they don’t, NOT BECAUSE THEY DON’T WANT TO WORK CONSTRUCTION, THE YOUNG BOYS/TEENS USED TO LOVE TO WORK IT IN THE SUMMER AS A WAY TO BUY A CAR FOR FALL WHEN THE TURNED 16; but they don’t hire Americans because Businesses want to pay very low wages. i am a graduate of johnson and wales. a certified chef! i went into a local well to do restaurant in my area and was offered a position as 3rd chef for $9.00 and hour! i have a total of 8 certifications in all. chef, sanitation,management to dietary. the persons i would have been working under were both latino males. they would not show me what to do or the routine of daily work. maybe because i am a women or they thought i was going to step on someones toes. NEVER!!!. i worked from the bottom up.washing dishes, mopping floors, pulling trash. i was there to learn how things were done and to do the job i was hired for. when they tried to set me up and get me fired that was it.they were employed at this place for 10-15 yrs and were not children but to pull a stunt like this really changed my attitude about all of them. they all were making 4 times what i had been offered but to treat me like that was uncalled for. i have worked in restaurants,schools and catering since i was 13 and never ever was i treated as poorly as i was from this establishment.i stuck it out for 3 months but could no longer work being treated so unfairly or in such a filthy kitchen. i would never have stayed as long as i had if i didn’t need the money. they all need to go as far as i’m concerned so that americans can get back the jobs and respect we once had. GET RID OF THEM ALL!!!
Two Latino males treat you the same way THOUSANDS OF White men in positions of authority have treated Americans of Color for years and you want them all to go.

How can anyone respect Mr. Bourdain for suggesting we give a job hunting advantage to folks who’ve broken our immigration laws vs the good folks waiting in their home countries for legal entry?
Would Mr. Bourdain also give preference for concealed carry weapons permits to folks w/a violent criminal history over folks w/no criminal history?
Can someone explain how this liberal thinking stuff “works”? It looks to me like it creates an incentive to break our laws. What am I missing?
The part I like about Anthony are his drug and alcohol laced adventures on fine Cuisine and partying. As far as politics, not a valid source of relevant information.
Anthony it’s time for your methadone shot. Leave the politics to the sober people.
