Bobby Jindal Says Birth Control Should Be Over-The-Counter
Bobby Jindal is still breaking with party lines.
In a lengthy open letter posted on Wall Street Journal Bobby Jindal who has been bashing Republicans for being the stupid political party after Mitt Romney’s lost to Barack Obama is now advocating for birth control pills to be sold over the counter.
The Louisiana governor who will surely run for president on 2016 makes the following point- if women can access contraception without prescription, it would no longer be necessary for religious/conservatives employers to have a heated debate on whether they should pay for it for their workers.
It would also take away the Democrats talking points that Republicans are anti-birth control pills or even anti-women’s right to choose what to do with their bodies. Mr Jindal wrote:
