Dave and Busters is Back

Dave and Busters is Back – Their Grand Opening was rough, and included a number of parking problems and a disorderly conduct charge around closing time. However, since their opening, Dave and Buster’s in Milwaukee has been able to turn things around, despite the busy environment. They offer a valet parking service to help insure that patrons are able to find a place to park, even during the busiest times of the day. The business also purchased 1,200 parking spaces across from Mayfair Road. The spaces are generally not used, but during peak hours the lot can be used as an overflow lot.


These changes have kept customers from wandering into the residential neighborhood just east of the restaurant, where a number of problems occurred. Residents had complained that patrons of Dave and Buster’s were parking in front of their homes, peeling out, and generally causing trouble in the neighborhood.
Police were forced to respond to a number of thefts in the area. Most of the thefts were vehicle-break ins, and the changes made by Dave and Buster’s seem to have combated the issue.
“On a scale of 1 to 10, I would have said things were bad – at a 10,” resident Douglas Cox said. “Now I’d say they’re a zero. It became a non-item.”
It is nice to see that a few small changes in the parking situation were able to curb the problem that had troubled the area since the restaurant first opened last spring. The company also made a number of changes to operations and management, and believe that they have a team in place that can control the issue.
