Blake Lively Comes Out As Big Taylor Swift Fan, Denies Rumored Shade
A Blake Lively and Taylor Swift drama has been squashed before it even began. Recently, new mom and actress Lively took to Instagram where she shared a picture of herself with a long list of female celebrities next to John Legend and used the caption to joke about “Bad Blood.” Social media users slammed Lively for bashing Swift prompting her to step out and profess her love for the country/pop star.
Are Blake Lively and Taylor Swift fighting? If you ask Lively, she will tell you no, but some of Swift fans are not buying that answer.
The stunning picture, which is for L’Oréal’s new Color Riche lipstick collection features an extensive list of international female celebrities including Lively, Julianne Moore, Naomi Watts, Liya Kebede, Karlie Kloss, Doutzen Kroes, Eva Longoria, Jane Fonda, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Leila Bekhti, Fan Bingbing, Ines de la Fressange and Natasha Poly in light pink gowns and coats, (all the ladies appear in the official ad below).
Each woman is wearing a different shade of pink lipstick carrying their first name standing next to a piano as John Legend plays “La Vie En Rose,” written and performed by French icon Édith Piaf in 1945.
Lively, who wanted to be cute by half, used the caption to explain that Legend was not using the impressive squad for a remix of Swift’s “Bad Blood” video.
The Gossip Girl actress added that she hopes that Legend will do a reprise of the hit song and plans to start a petition to get it done. The movie star wrote:
“Soooo, turns out this WASN’T a video shoot for John Legend’s cover of Bad Blood. @lorealparisofficial blew it out for this one. My #pinkobsession is exposed now. Ok your turn. I won’t tell! #AlsoTurnsOutJohnLegendIsntCoveringBadBlood Time to start a petition!”
The Internet erupted with comments like “Blake throws major shade at Taylor” and “Blake mocks Taylor because Jason Sudeikis said she did a better job as an SNL host.”
Wasting no time, Lively returned to the scene of the fake crime, and shared another photo on Instagram, which featured husband, Ryan Reynolds‘s family hanging with Taylor Swift.
Her caption made it clear that she is in love with Swift. She confessed:
“Umm whoever thought I was throwin’ shade clearly doesn’t know I have a ‘Taylor Swift Please Be My Wife Voo Doo Doll.Look how rad she is here making my niece Heather feel like a rock star. Love my Canadian family almost as much as I love Taylor Lively. I mean Swift. Ok, FIIINE we can hyphenate our last names. Xo Blake Swift-Lively 4eva.”
Not that we know neither Nicki Minaj nor Blake Lively are after Taylor Swift, we can all sleep at night. Swift should still watch our for Katy Perry, though, because that feud will never, ever, ever end.
