In a lengthy statement posted on her official website, Bethenny Frankel has confirmed that she is indeed returning to Bravo for the 7th season of The Real Housewives of New York.

For weeks ago, rumors were circulating in the media stating that Frankel had rejoined the series, but she denied them. But on Monday morning, Miss Frankel took to her official website, where she shared a post entitled “A New Chapter” that explained her decision.

When Frankel left ROHNY in 2010, she was single, broke and sans child, but when she appears on the new season, the viewers will meet a divorcee, business mogul and mother.

The 43-year-old television host was married to Jason Hoppy from 2010 to 2012 and the pair is currently going through a nasty custody fight over their 4-year-old daughter, Bryn.

In the post, Frankel explained that after her brief talk show Bethenny was cancelled, she was invited back to The Real Housewives of New York, but was not sure she wanted to put herself out there.

The Neighbors guest-star said:

“After my talk show ended, I really had doubts about ever going back to television. I’ve been through a lot personally, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to expose myself to any more public scrutiny.”

She went on to explain that after thinking it through, she came to the conclusion that it would be a great opportunity for her to promote the Skinnygirl Cocktails business, and her brand while reconnecting with old friends.

The author of Naturally Thin: Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting, wrote:

“After many years of hesitation, I have decided to return to my roots on The Real Housewives of New York City. I have been through a long and arduous road since my departure, and I’m finally coming out on the other side. It finally feels right to go home again.”

Bethenny Frankel will be joining Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson, Kristen Taekman, LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan on the new season of The Real Housewives of New York City.
