BCS Standings 2010
BCS Standings 2010 – The BS rankings have experienced a number of shakeups this week. In fact, the last ranking as a whole looks completely different than it did just a few weeks ago. With Alabama’s loss, they have now slid down to number eight, and Ohio State has moved into the first position. Oregon is now in second place after their string of solid victories, and Boise State has moved into the third position.
It will be interesting to see how much things change from here on out. This year has been filled with surprises. The BCS uses information from six different polls to calculate the overall BCS standings, which can make it hard to predict before the official releases is out.
In both the Associated Press poll and the coach’s poll, we see the same top three teams. TCU and Nebraska switch the fourth and fifth positions with one another on each poll, so it will be interesting to see where they end up in he final BCS poll.
The unexpected loss by Alabama has shaken up the entire NCAA football season. They were by far the favorites to win the National Championship, and now that they have moved down to the 8th position it looks like Ohio State has taken their position from them. It has been an exciting year thus far, and it looks like things are only going to become even more exciting from here on out.
