Andy Irons Dead
Andy Irons Dead – Andy Irons, 32, a triple world champion of surfing died Tuesday. This legendary Hawaiian surfer, who was hit by dengue had withdrawn from the Rip Curl Pro Search in Puerto Rico, a stage of the ASP World Surfing Tour.
While he was heading to Hawaii, Irons died during a layover in Dallas. No cause of death has been officially announced, but the disease is reportedly the cause of death. Irons was one of the most dominant forces in the surfing universe. World champion in 2002, 2003 and 2004, Irons gave a serious run to 9 times world champion Kelly Slater. The two surfers brought surfing to a whole new level, and opened doors for the current generation.
Irons’ young wife, Lyndie is pregnant with the couple’s first child due for December. The surfing legend also leaves his younger brother Bruce behind.
