Adele is taking her Live 2016 tour to North America in July, and the tickets sold out very fast. Unhappy fans have taken to social media to voice their complaints after failing to get their hands on the precious pass. The concert series will mark the return of the popular diva to North America for the first time in five years.

This leg of the tour will launch in Saint Paul, Minnesota on July 5th at the Xcel Energy Center. It is scheduled to end on November 16 in Mexico City.

Adele, 27, released her third studio album, 25, in November, and it sold over five million units in just three weeks in the United States. The new tour was announced after the release. Tickets for the European leg of the tour also went very fast.

The artist and her label have not addressed the situation, and it is not yet clear if more dates can be added to accommodate fans, who could not get tickets this time around. Adele was a trending topic on Twitter earlier today, and some supporters found humor in what happened. According to Reuters, one of them wrote:

“Hello from the ticket line. I’ve clicked refresh a thousand times.”

Another one added:

“3 days worth of Adele tickets sold out in 2 minutes and I am heartbroken.”

One Massachusetts supporter concluded by saying:

“Just spent an hour trying to get #adeletickets in Boston and no luck…At least I can say that I tried.”

Tickets for Adele’s shows at the Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, New York have surfaced on few websites with asking price nearing $9,999. Adele has become the face of pop music in recent years, breaking every possible record in the book from album sales to TV ratings.
