Adele Drunk Tweets And Loses Freedom To Send Own Tweets

Adele claimed few drunk tweets prompted her manager to ban her from Twitter. She told BBC that after the birth of her son, she has put down the bottle, but she still needs someone’s approval to send out a tweet to her 22 million followers.

Adele can blame her ongoing predicament on the alcohol. To promote her upcoming album, 25, Adele filmed an hour-long BBC Music special that is set to air the day of the big release on November 20. The “Chasing Pavements” and “Daydreamer” artist performed several of her past mega hits and belted her new single, “Hello,” for the first time, and she delivered.

After the amazing performances, the 27-year-old singer did a funny interview with Graham Norton, who took questions from the audience. A fan wanted to know if the rumors were true and that she is no longer allowed to use her own Twitter account. The person asked: “Rumor has it, you’re not allowed access to your own Twitter account?”

Adele replied by saying that it was true that her team had to take over her Twitter page because she often sent out wild and crazy tweets when she used to be a heavy drinker. Adele, who has stopped drinking since the birth of her son, Angelo, shared that she is the one writing the tweets, but several people have to approve of them before they are posted. The talented diva, who is dating Simon Koncecki, stated:

“That is true, yeah. I’m not a drinker any more, but when Twitter first came out I was drunk tweeting and nearly put my foot in it quite a few times. So my management decided that you have to go through two people and then it has to be signed off by someone. But they’re all my tweets. No one writes my tweets. They just post them for me. So yeah, that’s very, very true.”

These days, Adele only posts throwback pictures of herself as a little girl, beautiful promo photos and well wishes to her fellow artists. The British songstress has not only giving up the booze, but she has also stopped smoking. The proud mom said in the interview:

“I absolutely loved it, but it’s not that f*cking cool when I’m dying from a smoking-related illness and my kid is, like, devastated…I used to be able to drink anyone under the table and still be able to put on an all-right show. But with kids, hangovers are torture. They just know. They pick up on it and just go for you.”

She also confessed that she does not hate being famous, but is afraid of it. She stated:

“People think I hate being famous. And I don’t. I’m really frightened of it. I think it’s really toxic … Watching Amy [Winehouse] deteriorate is one of the reasons I’m a bit frightened. We were all very entertained by her being a mess.”

Adele is predicted to sell between 1 to 2 million albums in her first week and thus far the video for “Hello” has almost 300 million views.

  1. I absolutely love Adele. I hope she comes to Atlanta for her 2015/2016 concert tour. I think her last concert tickets 3 year ago started at $500 each. That’s a little to much for me to afford and bring my daughter who also adores her.

Thanks Adele for your come back new album <3
